As parents, we understand it is stressful trying to find the right balance between working life and flexible, affordable, good quality care for your school going children.

We have worked in child care for a number of years and have seen the need for a service that suits individual family lifestyles.

We offer affordable, flexible, out of school hours (OSH) care for primary school aged children from junior infants to 6th class, in the Scouts Den (Beau Piers Lane) Skerries.  We are a tech free zone, children are not allowed to have mobile phones/tablets etc while attending OSH.

Our team

We believe that the best thing about our team is that we genuinely love and enjoy working with children.

We are all Garda vetted, and have childcare qualifications, including child protection and first aid training. We will also ensure that anyone working with us are compliant. We all have different talents and skill sets and everyone brings something different to our team which is why we enjoy doing what we do.  The children can see this in our team and they benefit from this as well.

Our Ethos

We aim to provide children with a relaxing, safe, fun, environment outside of school hours.

Research which was carried out by the DCYA, as part of the governments 2017 Action Plan on School Age Childcare(SAC), highlighted many areas which we believe we can give children attending our service.

According to childcare professionals who participated in presentations to the SAC group, the main emphasis on after school care should be on play and relaxation.

As parents and childcare professionals we totally agree with these views and our service will promote the concerns raised by the children in the research.

We will provide varied play activities which will help to foster the development of the children's social, physical, creative, intellectual and emotional abilities, whilst having fun.
